Chimney Repairs & Repointing

Chimney stacks are the most exposed part of any roof. Years of wind, rain and frost erode the mortar joints, crack the flaunching around the pots and lift the lead flashing where the stack meets the roof. The result can be damp chimney breasts, loose bricks and, in the worst cases, an unsafe structure.

Our chimney services include raking out and repointing brickwork with a suitable sand and cement or lime mortar, re-flaunching chimney pots, replacing cracked pots, fitting bird guards and rain cowls, and renewing lead flashings, soakers and back gutters using code 4 or code 5 lead to Lead Sheet Training Academy guidelines. We can also cap off redundant chimneys with ventilation, or remove stacks altogether where appropriate.
